About Traveling Fare

 

Traveling Fare was founded in 1984 by professional chef Paul Lubertazzi.  His goal was to provide "good meals to go", and he started with take out fare and off site catering.  His clients soon demanded onsite space to enjoy his good soups, sandwiches and specialty dishes, and he put a few tables in what soon became an eat in lunch room.  Over the years the restaurant has grown and a back room has been added for onsite catering for meetings, private parties, even local theatrical events.  Half a million meals and thousands of clients later, Paul and his wife Roberta are still welcoming you to enjoy their good food and hospitality.

 

Paul is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.  He was chef at Papa Pirozki's and at the Waverly Hotel prior to opening his own kitchen on historic Marietta Square.  Roberta joined him as wife and business partner in 1988.  She worked in food service near Toronto, Canada before moving to Marietta to marry Paul.  Their children, Brayden and Renae, often stop by the shop for snacks and to greet customers.  The entire family is active in community and church service, and they enjoy sports, travel and entertaining.
